I confess that I love aprons, but you already know that, especially those in linen or thick cotton, I always wear them at home, not only for cooking, but also for carrying out the thousand household activities.
But I like to always be tidy so the apron has to be nice!!!! That is, it has to be able to be worn even when I invite friends to dinner, for example.
This is why I thought of this apron, which is almost a dress, to be worn over clothes.

This apron is made of a beautiful vintage butter-colored linen fabric, hand-woven on a loom and very well preserved. These fabrics are increasingly hard to find, but I was lucky enough to buy it in an old house in the Tuscan countryside.
They were hand-woven on a loom into fixed-width panels, which were then hand-sewn lengthwise with tight, strong stitches. These beautiful seams are found at various points on the apron L

A precious detail is represented by the large and beautiful monogram which reproduces the initials of the woman for whom this cloth was made, AN, embroidered in red in a beautiful cursive character.

The model is typical of Cecibirbona: it has a bodice to which a rich gathered skirt is attached; the front and back are tied with two side bows. It is worn from above in a very practical way, even without untying the side bows every time.
It has two comfortable and roomy pockets.

The fit is loose and comfortable, so it can be worn over skirts and trousers, but is at the same time very graceful.

One of a kind.

The fabric backed in antique linen dates back to the period between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Small imperfections and small stains testify to the age of this fabric and speak of its past.

Hand wash or machine wash at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle. Do not spin or dry in the sun.

With washing the colour will gradually tend to lighten, a testament to the naturalness of the fabric, acquiring the warm colour of raw linen.

One size fits all. You see it worn by me who is 1.64 m tall.
