Antique linen apron with AL monogram (Ref. 17)
You know that I can't live without my aprons, I always wear them at home, not only for cooking, but also for carrying out the thousand household activities.
But I like to always be tidy so the apron has to be nice!!!! That is, it has to be able to be worn even when I invite friends to dinner, for example.
This is why I thought of this wonderful apron, which is almost a dress, to be worn over clothes.
This apron is made from a beautiful antique pure linen fabric, fresh and light.
Truly beautiful in its wonderful simplicity.
A simplicity that contrasts with the two beautiful initials, AL, very large and embroidered in a beautiful cursive, in a beautiful font, embellished with delightful little flowers and leaves.
Two letters embroidered beautifully, with great skill and precision by expert hands, large and clearly visible, which alone make this apron truly special.
The branches of flowers and leaves are added, which certainly took a long time for the embroiderer who created them, as various embroidery stitches were used.
The model is typical of Cecibirbona: it features a bodice to which a rich gathered skirt is attached; the front and back are tied with two side bows.
It is worn from above in a very practical way, even without untying the side bows every time. It can also be worn, like all my aprons, in a way to make it more adherent, as you can see in the photos.
It has a comfortable and roomy pocket.
The edges of the skirt are the original ones of the cloth.
The fit is loose and comfortable, so it can be worn over skirts and trousers, but at the same time it is very graceful and feminine.
One of a kind.
The fabric is a pure antique embroidered linen, a real treasure.
Small imperfections and small stains testify to the age of this fabric and speak of its past.
Hand wash with mild soap or machine wash at 30 degrees on hand cycle. Do not spin. Do not dry in the sun.
One size fits all. You see it worn by me who is 1.64 m tall.
