Cotton apron with pink embroidery (Ref. 176)
Cotton apron with pink embroidery (Ref. 176)
You know that I can't live without my aprons, especially those in linen or thick cotton, I always wear them at home, not only for cooking, but also for carrying out the thousand household activities.
But I like to always be tidy so the apron has to be nice!!!! That is, it has to be able to be worn even when I invite friends to dinner, for example.
That's why I thought of this delightful apron, which is almost a dress, to wear over clothes.
This apron is made from a beautiful vintage pure cotton fabric, hand embroidered in pink, that I was lucky enough to purchase at a flea market in the Tuscan countryside.
The cloth from which the apron was made was perfectly preserved and I immediately fell in love with it because it is not easy to find cloths with colored embroidery, and then I love pink!
The uniqueness of this cloth is characterized not only by the fabric, of excellent workmanship and perfect consistency, but also by the embroidery made in pink thread, consisting of small polka dots that decorate the lower part of the skirt and the pockets in a regular succession that forms a delicate and harmonious flounce, surmounted by a hemstitched embroidered stripe.
The hem is replaced by a scalloped edge with the same pink embroidery thread.
The model is typical of Cecibirbona: it features a bodice to which a rich gathered skirt is attached; the front and back are tied with two side bows.
It is worn from above in a very practical way, even without untying the side bows every time. It can also be worn, like all my aprons, in a way to make it more adherent, as you can see in the photos.
It has two comfortable and roomy pockets, which feature the original embroidery of the cloth.
The fit is loose and comfortable, so it can be worn over skirts and trousers, but at the same time it is very graceful and feminine.
One of a kind.
The fabric is a pure vintage cotton.
Small imperfections and small stains testify to the age of this fabric and speak of its past. Appreciate them and love this apron that will tell you about its past.
Hand wash with mild soap or machine wash at 30 degrees on delicate cycle. Do not spin. Do not dry in the sun. Take care of it.
One size fits all. You see it worn by me who is 1.64 m tall.
