This dress was born from an early twentieth century nightgown.

A beautiful linen shirt with a slightly flared line that transforms into a romantic and contemporary dress.

The shirt features a delightful neckline bordered by a braided trim inside which runs a ribbon that allows you to adjust its width and whose ends are tied in a bow, underneath which we find the two beautiful initials of the woman to whom this garment belonged, EF embroidered in a delightful English cursive.

The shirt has two short sleeves edged like the neckline.

The shirt has a trapezoid line, flared from the sleeves, where the width is given by the addition of fabric on the two sides.

To make it a modern dress, I added a low belt in ecru linen, which is sewn into the front of the dress, leaving it loose on the hips and back, so that it can be adjusted in width. It is possible to tie the laces at the back or even at the front.

Important: The fabric has a small manufacturing defect on the skirt, you can see it indicated in the photo by the arrow and in the detail.
This is a very old piece and small imperfections in the fabric are not to be considered defects but characteristics of the fabrics of the time. These are pieces that should be loved for the history they have and for the load of beauty that characterizes them.

It is a garment that fits a medium large size. The width of the dress from armpit to armpit, at the height of the breast is approximately 62 cm.

The fabric is a beautiful medium weight loom woven linen in its natural color.

It is recommended to wash by hand with a mild soap. Hang out away from the sun and iron with a hot iron. It is beautiful even unironed.
