Embroidered cotton tablecloth for 12 people
Embroidered cotton tablecloth for 12 people
You know that my great passion for everything that is past, everything that is ancient, leads me to continually visit vintage and antique markets. Sometimes I see objects that I just can't turn my back on, even if I don't think of using them for my work. But they are so beautiful and special or precious that I absolutely have to take them with me.
This is what happened with this twelve-person tablecloth in a beautiful white cotton that looks incredibly embroidered.
An incredible work of embroidery, unimaginable the hours that must have been spent to make it.
It is perfectly preserved, almost certainly never used, when beautiful things were made that were intended for the trousseaus of young brides who then perhaps, so as not to ruin them, were never used.
Instead it is a beautiful tablecloth that should be used, obviously not on a daily basis, but on special occasions yes!
For a birthday, for example, contrasting on a pink tablecloth.
For Christmas, contrasting on a red tablecloth, instead… beautiful effect!
Wonderful on a sage green, a dove gray…or directly on the wooden table, as you can see in the photos.
The embroidery is gorgeous and rich and creates a beautiful central frame on which to place colorful flower centerpieces or candles to create a lovely atmosphere.
The entire perimeter is also richly embroidered and the corners are gorgeous.
The twelve napkins are large and embroidered.

Any small imperfections or small stains should not be considered defects but characteristics of antique and vintage items. They are evidence of their past history. Love these objects as they are, with their baggage of past lives.
