In my continuous search for ancient fabrics I sometimes come across real little great treasures, as in this case.
Precious garments that tell us about another era, other lives, industrious hands that embroidered and sewed.

Below the embroidery we find a beautiful, perfectly executed threadwork that must have required many hours of work. A truly amazing embroidery and thread weaving work.
The seams are located on both short sides of the canvas.
A small masterpiece of skill dating back to the first part of the last century and part of the trousseau of a lady whose initials were precisely NS, and of which various pieces are for sale in the shop.
The person who made them did so with love and great skill, demonstrating how even an everyday object can be a true masterpiece.
And it can bring into our homes a touch of that atmosphere that takes you back in time, to things done well, with attention and dedication.

Fabric: antique linen. The embroidery and flounces are the original ones of the cloth.
Measurements: 127x88 centimeters.
Hand wash or machine wash on delicate cycle with neutral soap.
Do not spin or dry in the sun.
There may be small stains or imperfections that testify to the age of this cloth, which however is perfectly preserved and has probably never been used.
Consider in fact the age of these objects, their past history, the time and life they have seen pass by… the signs that time has left on them are added values, small traces that remind us that they come to us from another era.
Appreciate these little imperfections, they are beautiful and speak of the people who preserved them before us.
